Author Guidelines

Manuscript Submission

Authors are encouraged to submit manuscripts electronically via the journal’s website (jcpsr.com), following the provided submission guidelines. The online system guides authors step-by-step, enabling the upload of text, tables, and artwork in digital formats. If electronic submission is not feasible, authors should contact the editorial office at editor@jcpsr.com to discuss alternative methods. Manuscripts that do not adhere to the guidelines will not be considered. Submissions must be made by one of the manuscript’s authors, not a third party. The principal or corresponding author must submit a Copyright Letter for all co-authors, confirming that the manuscript has not been previously published and is not under review elsewhere. Any previously published figures, structures, or tables must be disclosed, and copyright permissions for reproduction must be obtained.

Copyright Policy

Authors contributing to JCPSR are required to transfer the copyright of their work to the journal. Submission of a manuscript indicates that all authors have reviewed and agreed to the terms outlined in the Copyright Letter. Manuscripts must not have been previously published or concurrently submitted elsewhere. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited, and the publisher reserves the right to take legal action in cases of plagiarism or fabrication. Once accepted, authors agree to transfer copyright to the publisher. Manuscripts cannot be withdrawn at any stage before publication. A signed copyright letter must accompany all submissions[1].

Peer Review Process

  • Manuscripts are acknowledged upon receipt and undergo an initial editorial review for suitability.
  • Manuscripts lacking originality, with significant scientific flaws, or without substantial messages are rejected before peer review.
  • Suitable manuscripts are reviewed by at least two expert reviewers.
  • The journal employs a double-blind review process to ensure anonymity between reviewers and authors.
  • Authors may be asked to respond to reviewer comments and submit revised manuscripts as needed.
  • Accepted manuscripts are copy-edited for grammar, punctuation, style, and format.
  • Page proofs are sent to the corresponding author for prompt correction.
  • Accepted articles are published online as 'Ahead of Print' immediately upon acceptance.

Editorial Policy and Manuscript Preparation

  • Manuscripts must follow the journal’s format and style; non-conforming submissions may be returned or rejected.
  • The journal reserves the right to make further formal changes and language corrections to accepted manuscripts.
  • Authors are responsible for all statements and for obtaining permissions to republish previously published materials.
  • Manuscripts should be written in English, typewritten (1.5-spaced), with 1" margins, using 12 pt Times New Roman font.
  • The title should be in Title Case.
  • The abstract should not exceed 300 words and must summarize the research, including introduction, hypothesis, methods, results, and conclusions.
  • Up to four specific keywords should be provided, left-aligned and arranged alphabetically.

Sections to include:

  • Introduction: Background, rationale, and aims of the study with relevant citations.
  • Materials and Methods: Detailed description of materials, procedures, and statistical tools, including ethical approval statements for studies involving humans or animals.
  • Results: Data with appropriate statistical analysis, organized into figures and tables with descriptive captions.
  • Discussion/Conclusion: Relate findings to current knowledge, discuss significance, and address new questions or future directions.
  • Tables and Figures: Each table on a separate sheet, numbered with Roman numerals, and accompanied by self-explanatory headings.
  • Figure and Table Captions: Included at the end of the manuscript, should be concise and informative.
  • Chemical Structures: Provide soft copies in ChemDraw (CDX) or ISISDraw (TGF) formats.
  • Scientific Names, Symbols, and Special Characters: Insert as symbols to prevent formatting issues; use SI units and follow IUPAC guidelines.

Supplementary Materials:
Authors are encouraged to submit supplementary materials (e.g., PowerPoint presentations, additional data files) as a single zipped file, referenced in the manuscript and listed in a dedicated section before the References[1].

Authorship Criteria

Authorship credit should be based on substantial contributions to:

  • Concept and design, data acquisition, or analysis and interpretation.
  • Drafting or critically revising the manuscript.
  • Final approval of the version to be published.

General supervision or funding acquisition alone does not justify authorship. Contributors must provide a description of their specific roles. The order of authors should reflect their contributions and cannot be changed without written consent from all contributors.

References

  • References should be numbered consecutively in the order they are first mentioned in the text.
  • Use Vancouver style for journal references.
  • Avoid citing abstracts or unpublished data unless essential.
  • For other reference types, follow ICMJE Guidelines (http://www.icmje.org/).

Article Processing Charges

  • No page charges for review articles.
  • Research articles: 10000 INR.
  • Short communications/letters: 2500 INR.

Research Misconduct and Ethics

JCPSR adheres to COPE guidelines for handling research misconduct, including:

  • Data fabrication/falsification
  • Duplicate or redundant publication
  • Plagiarism
  • Authorship disputes
  • Undeclared conflicts of interest
  • Manipulation of peer review or citations
  • Violation of research ethics

All allegations are thoroughly investigated by the Ethics Advisory Panel, with actions taken according to COPE protocols. Authors, reviewers, and editors are expected to uphold the highest ethical standards in all aspects of manuscript preparation and publication.
